I stayed only 1 night. The man on reception was very friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English which helped me. I did not use any of the sports facilities. My room was very comfortable and clean.
Although my breakfast in the bar area was fine, I would have liked a meal in the restaurant in the evening which was not open. I do realise why it was not open as there were very few guests there. The hotel was a bit out of town. I do not have any complaints though.

we were disappointed that the hotel had no dining facility apart from breakfast. The dining facility had closed presumably for the end of season.
lack of dining facility and when travelling and having been in the car a large part of the day we would have dined in the hotel if possible

It is definetely woth visiting. Aguilas has nice beaches, especially in Calasparra. However, it is three star service in the four star building. A car is a must for this hotel - it is outside of the city. Good rooms. Friendly but not always competent staff.
Breakfast during the week was quite poor, in the weekend, when there were more tourists, situation improved.

The mirror in the bathroom was good. The staff at the desk and bar were good and friendly and the restaurant. Thats it.
Needed decorating in all areas. Staff said changed owners Feb 2012. Poorly stocked bar. Room and hotel maintenance required and previoulsy badly bodged. Very small tv in room. Only satchets of cheap shampoo in suite. Carpets uneven in main corridors could be hazzardess also dirty.Food in restaurant limited but not bad value. Breakfast time bit of a scrum.Would not stay there again until all is better decorated, cleaner and better food. Seems this hotel is trying to run on a shoe string. Very hard to find as it is Hotel Miquel not Aquilas Hotel Resort. Very bad signing from road .

A great hotel! Very friendly staff, pleasant rooms, a beautiful area and well appointed hotel
Lack of a balcony, a strange smell in the room, is located far enough from the city and the sea.

Rooms were very spacious and clean, beds very big soft and comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful. The Hotel had a bit of a tired look but what can you expect for 40euros a night for 2, including breakfast It was excellent value for money

We stayed at the Don Miguel for a mini break in November. Although out of season we were extremely pleased with the friendliness of all the staff who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the buffet breakfast was plentiful. We shall definitely be returning in February for another mini break.
Very difficult to criticise.

The room was very spacious, lovely bathroom with clean linen. Breakfast was plentiful and as someone with limited Spanish the staff were able to speak very good English. The bus to the town was economical and essential given the distance to the town (we walked one day and it was 40 minutes minimum at a fast pace).
Poor wifi reception, very sporadic. Bus timetable was incorrect, causing us to walk back on our last night at 01.00hrs in the morning! we met some other travellers who had been clearly told the last bust was midnight, it was a shame our last night was affected by this.

The room was ideal, we took our 2 dogs and it had laminated floor and it was away from the other guests.
The bar was not stocked up at all, 5.30 Sat teatime we wanted to sit down and share bottle of white wine, there was non and was told have to wait for restaurant to open at 8pm, so we had to go out to find bar for drink. Evening Meal in restaurant, potatoes were cold, and the profiteroles were off.

It was close enough to the town to walk and the taxi was less than 10 euros late at night. The staff were all very nice and the breakfast was very good. We would definitely stay again. The rooms were very large and very comfortable

The staff were friendly and it was in a rural location yet close to other amenities.
the fact that even though it was New Years Eve and there were quite a few people staying at the hotel the restaurant was closed.
